THE CLEANSING: New Album Title Announced

October 2, 2010

Danish death metallers THE CLEANSING have set "Feeding The Inevitable" as the title of their second album for a tentative late 2010/early 2011 release. The nine-song CD was mixed starting at CB studios in Denmark with producer Christian Bonde. The mastering duties were handled by Bjørn Engelmann (BEHEMOTH, BLOODBATH) at the Cutting Room in Sweden. Remy C. from Headsplit Design is currently working on the artwork/cover and the band states, "We're pretty sure he will come up with something sick!"

THE CLEANSING recently announced the addition of bassist Mads Haarløv (INIQUITY, STRANGLER, SACRIFICIAL, SWOLLEN) to the group's ranks.

Drummer Morten Løwe Sørensen was unable to join his THE CLEANSING bandmates on their Danish tour in April/May as the support act for DAWN OF DEMISE. He was temporarily replaced by Mads Lauridsen of Danish extreme metallers KONKHRA and PANZERCHRIST.

THE CLEANSING released its debut album, "Poisoned Legacy", on June 9, 2009 via Deepsend Records. The CD was produced by Jacob Hansen (RAUNCHY, ABORTED, DAWN OF DEMISE, VOLBEAT) and was described in a press release as "an album of highest quality destined to be a favorite of fans of MORBID ANGEL, IMMOLATION, DAWN OF DEMISE or VADER."

Check out audio samples on the band's MySpace page.

THE CLEANSING is:

Toke Eld: Vocals
Jeppe Hasseriis: Guitar
Andreas Lynge: Guitar
Mads Haarløv: Bass
Morten Løwe Sørensen: Drums
